1. The short version#
TraderTape Wealth is a Google Sheets add-on. Your financial data stays inside your own Google Sheet, in your own Google Drive. We (the Provider) do not receive, collect, store, sell, or transmit your financial data to our servers — because there are no such servers in the loop. This policy explains exactly what the add-on touches and why.
2. What the add-on accesses, and where your data lives#
- Your spreadsheet only. Using the
spreadsheets.currentonlyscope, the add-on reads and writes only the Google Sheet it is installed in. It cannot see your other files. All the data you enter or import lives in that sheet, under your Google account. - PDF statements are parsed in your browser. When you import a CAS or bank PDF, the file and its password are processed entirely on your device (via pdf.js inside the add-on's dialog). The PDF is never uploaded to us or anyone.
- The encrypted trustee report is created in your browser. Encryption keys are generated and split on your device and are never transmitted. We never see your data, keys, or shares.
3. What we (the Provider) receive#
None of your financial data. The add-on has no analytics, tracking, or telemetry that sends your holdings, account numbers, or personal data to us. [If the tradertape.com website uses analytics/cookies, disclose that here and link to a website privacy policy; the add-on itself does not.]
4. Third-party services the add-on uses#
To provide live values and optional features, the add-on may contact:

We do not control these services; their handling of requests is governed by their own policies. No account numbers or personal data are sent to AMFI or Google Finance.

6. Limited Use disclosure#
TraderTape Wealth's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we only access your data to provide and improve the add-on's user-facing features; we do not transfer or sell it; we do not use it for advertising; and no humans read it except where required by law or with your explicit consent.
7. Data retention and deletion#
Because your data lives in your Google Sheet, you control it entirely:
- To stop the add-on accessing your data, uninstall it (or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions).
- To delete your data, delete or clear the spreadsheet.
- We hold no copy of your data to delete.
8. Children#
The add-on is not directed at children under [16/18] and should not be used by them.
9. Changes#
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, announced on tradertape.com.
